Equine-Assisted Learning Program

Our Equine-Assisted Learning Program is a ground-based initiative that teaches participants  essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, and leadership through meaningful interactions with horses. This program is designed to build confidence, responsibility, and emotional growth in a fun and supportive environment. 

Program Activities

Participants will engage in a variety of hands-on activities that provide valuable learning experiences, including:

Horse Care and Grooming

• Simple Grooming Tasks: Brush or pet the horse under supervision to build a sense of connection and responsibility.
• Feeding and Watering: Help with feeding or filling water buckets, teaching the importance of routine and care.
• Basic Stable Chores: Participate in tasks like sweeping or setting up hay to foster a sense of accomplishment.

Interactive Skill-Building Activities

• Horse Interaction: Practice hand-walking, leading, and working with horses based on individual comfort levels and abilities.
• Skill Development: Focus on improving physical coordination, communication, and self-confidence through engaging exercises.

Equine-Assisted Learning Goals

• Interactive Learning: Develop patience, empathy, and responsibility through guided horse-related activities.
• Goal-Oriented Challenges: Set and achieve milestones, such as leading a horse through an obstacle course, to build confidence and a sense of accomplishment.
