Minimum Age to Participate is 4 years old as of the event date. There is no maximum age. We take participants with IEPs who are on the autism spectrum or have other developmental delays. Participants do not need to know how to swim. However, if they cannot, you must bring a Coast Guard Approved PFD (personal flotation device) – not swimmies, armbands or other such item.

Minimum Age to Volunteer is 10 years old as of the event date. Most volunteers are needed in the water. If you do not want to get in the water, please don’t volunteer. We ask for a full day commitment – from 8 am to 4 pm. If you can come early to set up, we are appreciative. If you can stay later to help break down, we are appreciative.

Parents – you may not get in the water with your child. For the safety of everyone involved you must stay on the beach to take pictures and cheer on your child.

We will provide food at lunch and water all day for your child and your immediate family. If you have special dietary concerns or restrictions, please bring your own. We do not always know in advance what the restaurants will be providing.
